Smalltown
Barossa, SA
2021 Good Luck Club Cabernet Sauvignon
“Fresh, juicy blueberry and blackcurrant, mint, low oak. Supple, chocolate and cherry flavour, light but pleasingly muddy feeling tannin, has sweetness and juicy appeal, and finishes well too. It’s a jolly thing, all about easy drinking fun, some almond paste flavour in the finish.” – Gary Walsh – The Wine Front
2021 Songlines Grenache
94 Points – Sam Kim “Minty, brown spice, juicy cherry and raspberry fruit. Soft, supple, layered in with sage and spice, squishy feel, poached strawberry, a bit dry on the finish, but offers easy drinking charm and affable appeal. A bit old school, but nice in that way. Gary Walsh.” – Gary Walsh – The Wine Front
2019 Clovella Grenache Mataro
94 Points – Kim Brebach “Spicy, brown sauce and the like, with mint and subdued red and black fruit. Quite fresh, slightly chewy, medium-bodied, earthy, spicy sausage flavours, light grip, plenty of drinking appeal, and a solid raspberry and spice finish.” – Gary Walsh – The Wine Front
2020 Black Craft Shiraz
“A compelling, dark and rich chocolately beast. A classic Barossa Shiraz with intense savoury flavours of thick blackberry compote, black pepper and typical iron-rich beefy flavours. Not a hint of jam here, no sweetness, this is serious Shiraz with balanced acidity, a touch of cocao powder in the finish and tremendous length. This is brightly fruited with excellent fruit purity, showing dark and purple fruit richness with mixed spice, potpourri and cedar characters on the nose. It’s concentrated and generously textured on the palate offering terrific weight and persistency. Delectably appealing.” – Wine Orbit – Sam Kim MW
