2021 Pelle

Vermentino, Greco, Zibibbo. Early harvested Vermentino and Greco co-fermented on skins blended with some later picked Zibibbo on skins. Pressed once the ferments are cold, the energy dissipated and fruit returns. Aged in old French barrels until spring. Pale lightly cloudy yellow orange with old gold highlights. Lifted notes of peach tea, yellow apricots, orange cordial and fragrant exotic spices. Medium weight and beautifully textured. Satisfying from the start. Layers of flavours start with yellow apricot and orange cordial before peach and mango build along with rich spices. The underlying natural acidity makes this super refreshing at all stages. Faint fluffy tannins add interest and enhance the moreish quality.DE-LI-CIOUS!

2020 Tino Vermentino

Hand harvested early to preserve natural acidity and freshness, our Vermentino was fermented cool with natural yeasts before spending 6 months on fine lees outside in the cold of winter. Clear and pale, Tino is bursting with aromas of grapefruit, pear, apple and white flowers. Soft and fruity, its rich flavours of pear, golden delicious apple and kiwi fruit wash across the richly textured palate.

2021 Fiano

A tonne or so of barrel fermented Fiano left alone on its lees until September. Soft straw gold; shines despite no filtration. A much riper expression this year with ripe quince, assorted apples, Seville orange and a hint of ripe peach and mango. Nuanced with florals and some fragrant spice, dried herbs and dandelion tea. Ripe yellow fruits flood the palate with apple and spice dominating. As the tide recedes there is more savouriness with a light nuttiness and salty tang. Fresh natural acidity provides brightness. Very easy drinking.

2021 Barbera

A riper interpretation compared with 2020. Two tonnes of primo Barbera naturally fermented with 1/3rd whole bunches with gentle extraction. Aged in old French barriques until spring. Soft dark cherry red. The mellow nose offers dried red rose, cherry juice, bloodplum skin and earthy dried herb whole bunch notes. Already displaying impressive secondary complexity. The palate shows more primary fruit with a deeply ripe sweet core to it. A little more on the berry fruit here with black raspberry, blackberry and mulberry. Tannins are super gentle. Notes of dried herbs and bitter chocolate on the finish. Very generous. Does the drinking for you.

2022 ramato Pinot Grigio

‘Ramato’ was sourced from Mark Kosned’s cool sited vineyard in Forreston. 100% destemmed it was fermented in cool ambient temperatures and hand plunged gently, daily for around 2 weeks before basket pressing. Soft red orange colour with a light haze from the skins. Lovely perfumed aroma of lily, Corella pear, white strawberry, blood orange, guava and spice. Exotic. The palate delivers the rich voluptuous wine that the nose suggests. Super texture and softer acidity produce a nectar like impression but plenty of freshness with the pear and guava fruits. Fluffy tannins. Richness suggests its riper than the 11.6% alc/vol. Luscious!

2022 Sangio Sangiovese

Sangio’ was sourced from Mark Kosned’s cool sited vineyard in Forreston. 100% destemmed it was fermented in cool ambient temperatures and hand plunged gently, daily for around 3 ½ weeks before basket pressing. Pale vibrant cherry red. Early harvested (12.6% alc/vol) this is designed to be bright and crunchy. Pretty aromas of pink and red rose with ripe raspberry and some fine herbs; super fresh. Juicy raspberry and fresh green herbs with tart-edged acid that tautens the palate and draws out the long fresh finish. Minimal tannins. Loves a light chill.
